What's old is cool again!

So by now, you all know about my 1964 Vespa.
I love it...
went riding this weekend...
but it was a lonely ride.
None of my friends could go.
Their NEW Vespas wouldn't start!
(And to think they all gave me grief for mine!)
My tip winter tip - start the engine every 2 weeks.

First Name Basis

So... this guy is in town this week:
I got sent to cover his arrival at the famous Benson Hotel in downtown Portland.
Total chaos, barely made there in time to get set-up.
He steps out of his super-sized SUV and is on a cell phone.
I have a dilemma:
I have to shout a question at him, but I don't want to be rude and interrupt.
I've only got a matter of seconds before he goes in.
So... I go for it and this is how it went:
"Welcome to Portland BARACK!" I shout across the street.
"Good to be here," he courteously says back.
"Would you like to come over and talk with us tonight?"
"Not tonight, but they'll be plenty of avails tomorrow."
Dissed! Not a surprise.
BUT...
I'm humiliated that I called a Senator, the man who has a 33.3% chance of being the next President, by HIS FIRST NAME ONLY!!!!!!!
I couldn't spit out "Senator Barack Obama" that fast.
You try it!

Buy This Vespa!!!!!

My friend Beth is moving to NYC. Unfortunately, this beauty can’t go with her. Lucky for you – it’s FOR SALE!

2005 Vespa ET-4 (Last year they made this desirable model.)

Includes: Pretty chrome package
Sweet brown rear mounted Vespa bag
Black helmet

60-70 MPG (nice, as we near $4.00 a gallon for gas)

Highway legal (A bit scary if you ask me, however, 45mph is a Blast!)

Only $4,000

This is a total keeper and will keep its value. Heck... you could even flip it later this summer for more money. Retail value is $5,700.
