New Coat

I can finally make Sigmund cute jackets!
This is my first attempt at sewing a dog coat. It turned out great! A few adjustments need to be made to fit my pooch a little better... but not bad. I've always wanted to be able to make my own coats because:

1. They're so expensive!
2. They never quite fit pugs right.
3. There are not that many cute dog coats out there for BOYS. Everything cute is for girls.

Now - no more worries! This one cost me about $9! Look out - Sigmund's going to be even more well-dressed.

Groovy Baby!

Another apron I put together. This one had a total 1960's feel. I just love the fabric and had fun making the felt circles. I got the pattern for this one out of this book...

It's got some great pictures inside and a really simple pattern to make these cute aprons out of just one yard of fabric.

Mini-Apron

Just so cute!
With so much leftover fabric, I decided to make a mini-apron for my friend's baby. That means I'm not keeping the latest apron... must share the cuteness! I will say it was a little harder making something so small. I didn't have a pattern, so I had to guestimate. Knowing me... she probably won't be able to wear it for 2 years! But at least my friend will love looking at it!

Just so Cute!!!!

It's just so cute!!!!!
This is my latest apron. (I'm getting better!)
I think this is the one I'm going to keep. It's so hard, every one I make, I want to keep.
This was some darling fabric I found a few weeks ago and I "borrowed" the waist-band lace idea from "Tie One On". I then added some leftover corduroy for the pocket and cute little felt flowers. So Cute!
But... Just wait until you see the next one I made...

Ribbon, Ribbon, Ribbon!!!

Check out all my new ribbon!!!
Can you say dog collars?
I've been raiding all the Dollar Stores in town, picking up cheap dog collars.
I just need the hardware because it's so expensive everywhere else.
To make the collars fun,
I ordered these ribbons from J Caroline.
I can't decide which ones I like best!
That's the problem with dog collars...
I want to keep them all for Sigmund!

Quilt Apron

The only things I know how to sew right now are aprons and and purses. This is my first attempt at trying to quilt an apron. It turned out ok. Getting the squares all the same size was a bigger challenge than I anticipated. But I must say I did pretty good. The colors in this make me smile. Plus, for how cute this is, it didn't really take that long! I like immediate satisfaction when it comes to projects.
For your own apron ideas... Tie One On has some fun inspiration and The Tie One On Club has aprons people all around the country have made.

"Sew" Stylish!

(Ok - so I'll try not to use "sew" for every reference to "so!")
These are two super-easy dog kerchief's I made. Sigmund is such a good model. I was never really a fan of these, but I made one for Salty Dog and had some left-over. When I put it on Sigmund, he just looked so cute, I made another! Thanks to my friend Beth for giving Sigmund one for Christmas... I had something to copy!

Purse Alert

This is the 1st purse I actually SEWED!
It turned out better than I expected, but still not perfect.
It's from a purse book and sometimes the patterns aren't detailed enough for beginners.
My purse handles were slightly different,
so that posed a bigger problem than I anticipated.
Plus, I got my fabric off the remnants table,
so it may not have been exactly what I should have used.
Oh well,
It's still cute and will look even cuter hanging from my arm!
